Last night I had no energy to do much, but I had three weeks of just my own laundry to do, so three movies later, I had all of it done except the bedding. My co-workers will thank me. My hamper already does.

I think when I get home I'm going to start listing more things on freecycle. Time to declutter again along with the usual housecleaning.
Any have any suggestions for good aroma therapy for winter blues? I really want to air out the house but I don't need a higher heating bill right now. The smell of clean laundry just isn't enough.

ReplyDeleteI was just thinking about how stuffy my apartment was a few hours ago. As you know, I've been very sick, so I haven't gotten out much. Today I came back in from selling some art to a buyer and wrinkled my nose. Like you, I can't afford to open the windows and heat the outside, but here's what I plan on doing.
ReplyDeleteI used to spritz Febreze around the house (Lavender Vanilla was the only scent of theirs that didn't make me gag), but I found candles by Wick were nice. It's hard to find candles that smell manly but which pass the approval of my daughters, but Wick has a few scents that do the trick. I can't afford one right now, tho, so I'm going to cook aromatic things to spice up the house. I was thinking of tossing a peppermint teabag into a boiling pot of water and see if it would act like an impromptu potpourri.
That or orange/lemon peels on simmer. I used to do that when I lived in Oregon. Worked wonders when the house was full of kids, plus had the added bonus of humidifying the house.
