Hey, Obama, call me maybe?

This is by far the best mashup. Ok, myabe not the best, but the funniest. This damn song has been in my head all week, mostly because of the morning news coverage of the videos. I now pass the ear worm to you.    Here are some of the others: Original Harvard Boys:   SMU Row Team:    Texas State Bagel Dance:     And a harried dad with his two daughters: "We're not doing that again!!!" I just hope Carly is getting paid royalties for all of these dance parodies. Pin It

Freaks

Freaks by Tess Gerritsen My rating: 3 of 5 stars This was a quick read during my lunch break. I do enjoy just about any show with Angie Harmon in it, so I watched a few episodes of "Rizzoli & Isles" and was intrigued that there are companion books. This version included a sneak peek at the next novel which seems way more interesting than the short story it's attached to. “Freaks” starts out dark and weird, but by the end you're not feeling left like humanity has gone completely over the edge. It was a nice surprise ending. View all my reviews Related articles Angie Harmon Covers Good Housekeeping (shoppingblog.com)

Southland

I grew up in LA, right off of Crenshaw and Adams – West L.A. but after the Rodney King riots it got "reclassified" as South Central. I went away to college in San Diego, then moved to Oregon, vowing that I would never live in L.A. again. Klout and TNT offered me a sneak preview of the full episode of the season premiere. Southland shows me how things have changed over the years since I was a child. Some things have changed, some have not. Uncaring employers (ok, maybe that hasn't changed that much). Culture clash between Blacks and Latinos in L.A. Latino gang wars (instead of Crips vs. Bloods) Cop with a pain medication habit and a bad back (boy can I relate) From Emmy Award winners John Wells, Ann Biderman and Chris Chulack comes a raw and authentic look at a police unit in Los Angeles. From the beaches of Malibu to the streets of East Los Angeles, "Southland" is a fast-moving drama that will take viewers inside the lives of cops, criminals, vic...

Sarah Jane Adventures

Image via Wikipedia This is what happens when I have too much time on my hands, I channel surf. Today I am working from home and I need background noise (not related to appliances doing their jobs). Be right back, need to reboot the laundry. Now where was I? Oh yes, I love English television, not sure why. I surely don't watch enough of it. Today, flipping through, I got caught up in lilting vowels and such ... and apparently Syfy also offers children's programming, of a sort. I'm watching the Sarah Jane Adventures , a spin-off from Dr. Who :) Other than the language (proper English, NOT bad words), there is a certain film quality to the BBC. ... What caught my attention was that this one deals with 1980's V -style aliens gobbling up children, a know-it-all computer, and a cheesy human villian (who gets taken down by one of the kids). What's not to love? Oh yes, the teens are heroes along with Sarah Jane. I really need to get a DVR, so much TV to catch up on ...

No time for the working mom

So I'm watching "The Starter Wife" (that darn insomnia) and this clip just got to me because it's so TRUE!!! This balancing act is about to topple me far, far, far down. Enjoy, have a laugh, and get some insight into the life of a single, working mom. Even though you never see her kid.

A reason to watch saturday morning cartoons again

Bring on the pancakes, sausage, and hot chocolate. My butt is gonna be planted in front of the boob tube. And then I will go to my mom's. I hope I don't forget.

Heroes - S2E2

Did you see what Claire did? I crossed my fingers toes, and almost closed my eyes. Gotta finish watching last season and get caught up. Missed most of last week's because of the kids, but I downloaded it as a torrent . Maybe I'll watch it tomorrow between Josh going to school and having to take Joy.

You Should Be Dancing!

(written in pieces while watching Idol) WOOT! Blake! BeeGee's songs are hard. Tim asked "who kicked him in the crotch?" and I, of course, still love his bee-boxin. Not sure I liked the blonde chunk in the front though. But hey, it's disco. Ok, give Lakiesha props, I like her version of "Stayin' Alive" even if the judges don't. what is Melinda going to rock? (Apparently I missed her first song) HOLY COW!!!! I think Jordin is my new fave. Did you hear that??? Ok, so .... I still like Blake and will vote for him out of loyalty Judge Judy likes Idol????????????????? Jordin ROCKS, and I don;t care, Blake's first song was fun. and now it is time for House

I know where my allowance is going ..

Google Video has season 1 & 2 of MacGyver!!! for $1.99 per episode!!!! They also have Voyager and DS9 from the Star Trek Franchise featured on the front page. You can search for your favorite show by going rto http://video.google.com and using the parameteer tvShow:"show_name" hrm ... I wonder if they have ER ... off to troll the web and catch up on email.
damn, what did I miss on ER .. Michael is back? and ah crap!!!! his jeep just got blown up! So, like, those that love me can pitch in and get me ER on DVD. I've been watching it off and on since Season 1. It was a lot easier to watch in HS. Darn RL.
Abby's pregnant????? by Luca?????????!!!!!!! I miss 3 months of ER and everything changes. Though it is nice to be able to watch it again. I was just flipping through channels and mentally complaining that nothing is on when I saw it starting. back to it. commercials are over.

NEELA'S GETTING MARRIED

AWESOME ER tonight. Can't wait for the next episode, but I miss a week or two and what happens? Abby and Luca sleep together, Ray gets the shizznit beat out of him, Neela decides to go on a ride-along with John Stamos. And of course none of these good bits are on last week's summary . So, for those who love me, I would like ER on DVD. All available seasons (because I missed like 6 due to RL, like I didn't know her beau was a FOINE looking black guy). And last week's if you have Tivo. If you burn it to DVD I'll send one as a replacement with much love and thanks. yeah, cary grant and ER, that'll get you Brownie points :)

burn, baby, burn

Burning dvd's, eating pb&j's and watching ER. I think my hubby is getting hooked. He's the one always reminding me that it's on. If you are chatting with me when it comes on, wait till a commercial break :) John Leguizamo (did I spell that right?) debuts tonight as the attending doctor, and man has he got ATTITUDE. I'm used to him doing comedy, so this will be different.

TV-14" ========================================== I wanted to know who the new doc is. He looks a little like Richard Gere and apparently has the early stage of prostate cancer. He's cute and geeky. And looking at losing the opportunity to get erect or have kids, essentially never have sex again. And Abby is .... well, watch the episode. I gotta get this series on DVD! I w...
