coming out of the fog (Photo credit: theloushe ) In general, I don't like airing my dirty laundry. I was taught it was uncouth, rude, nobody gives a damn, and why put your life on display like that. But you know what? I'm tired of being polite, in the shadows, hiding. It's time to tell my side of the story because everyone has heard my ex's side. And it caused a rift that can never be repaired.

Today was supposed to be a good day. Quiet and productive. Boring. Easy. Today I found out that one of my best friends died suddenly this morning. Her children will grow up without a mother. Her husband has lost a companion of 15+ years. You never know when it will be time to go. Don't hold off on telling your friends that you love them and making the time to see them instead of always "oh, let's try for later". Sometimes there won't be a later. This was posted on her FB wall: At 3:40am on Monday, August 9, 2010, Leslie Shevick Raymond passed away due to complications from pneumonia. Leslie's immune system had been compromised by ITP ( idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura .) Michael Jackson via last.fm Jaw. Dropping. Shock. Speechlessness. Deep Sadness. I don’t want it to be true. How can it be true? I wanted to marry the man (before he got weird). Michael Jackson has been a part of my *whole* life. And now he’s gone at 50. So young. And so suddenly. I don’t usually get all emotionally torn up over celebrities, I mean, they are celebrities. But when you grow up knowing all the words to all the songs, from the Jackson 5 albums, to PYT, to Thriller, to Bad … on and on. He was an innovator, an entertainer, a pioneer. And his music will be greatly missed.
