Wordless Wednesday: Zen

photo by Hank Yeomans This is one of my fave shots. Just looking at it reminds me of the utter peace I felt.

If you missed it last night

So, I caught glimpse of this celestial event on the drive down the 605 and a friend got some good shots from my apartment. Those are at home waiting to be uploaded. In the meantime, if you missed the eclipse, you can see some good shots in the LA Times Photo Gallery from around the world. This one was taken in Huntington Beach , just a hop skip and a jump from where I live.

ROADTRIP!!!!!

Today is the day. I get into Portland about 9:30 tonight and we start driving ... around 3 or 4 tomorrow morning I think. We're going to take the 5 as far as we can and then cut over to the coast for a while before going back on the 5 and then to Jes final destination. Good thing I am bringing my GPS , this is going to be a good test of it. Especially when it comes to finding rest stops and the like. To quote Jes, "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited!!!" Hope the kids have fun too. View Larger Map
