My Afflation

I’m coming to the point where I tell myself, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Being a do-er means that shit gets done. And I get things done. I’ve had this rant rattling around in my head for almost two weeks. The biggest critique that they came up with is that I am do-er and not an achiever. And that’s apparently a bad thing. Who the FRAK else is going to get shit done?!?  You need do-ers . People who are conscientious and hard-workers and not just out for their own ambition and climbing over and on the backs of others. People that make things happen in the background so those so-called achievers shine. People with a work ethic and humility and who don’t mind just getting the work done so they can pay their bills and maybe have some mental and physical energy left over for their hobbies.

All my goofy glory and amazing t-shirt collection recapped in one post. I managed every day except one and I still have plenty of t-shirts left. There was no DisneyBounding or much subtle cosplay compared to last year . And I am very happy to return to behind the camera until next year.

In reality, I'm the only one who says.    Sometimes I need to make the voices in my head shut up. They are stressing me out and making me focus on the negative instead of the positive. And I really need to focus on the positive right now. What's funny about this one is that just the other day I mentioned that I'm thinking about going back to school. I am a book learner, I learn best in a classroom and then applying what I have learned to the real world. Online learning doesn't even compare. I'm way too easily distracted. I learned that the hard way! In a classroom it's all aggregated for you. You don't need to spend hours researching the work, someone else has already done it for you. Having homeschooled the Teen for a while, I know exactly how much prep can go into preparing just a short lesson! I appreciate teachers. I love research, but when I am trying to learn something new, I want the materials handed to me so that I can just ingest them. I have too much going on in other areas of my life to focus on research, weeding out the good information from the bad, determining what's outdated and what is still relevant. I caved and bought her latest album. Miss Perry has catchy, fun beats ( in addition to being freaking GORGEOUS ), and a social message. And I can't get her three latest songs out of my head, though that may have more to do with them being on the radio EVERYWHERE . First there was the summer anthem of " California Gurls ", then “Teenage Dream” (which I don’t want my daughter singing, but it’s still catchy), and now "Firework". I've had the chorus in my head for about three days now and finally went to watch the video and *really listen* to the lyrics.
