My Afflation

I haven't been blogging much lately, but I have been trying something a little different on G+. It started when I saw some awesome bedrooms and decided that in a perfect world, that's where I would want to sleep. Each post was titled "Tuck Me In". Since Collections launched I've been a little more focused and they have evolved into a short recap of my day or my state of mind. You can follow the collection if you're interested in exotic locations and want to keep getting inside my head. And no, you don't have to get a G+ account to see these gorgeous bedrooms.

Google+ Comments FAQs - Blogger Help : "What happens if I disable Google+ Comments? If you disable Google+ Comments, comments made by Google+ users during the time that the feature was enabled will disappear from your blog. All other comments (those made by readers before you enabled the feature) will remain." Well ain't that a ... $!+&#  I want to go back to using  +Disqus  , but I can't without losing comments on posts that actually had G+ integrated comments. Then again, not that many people comment lately. I thought it would be cool to have G+ comments because then the conversation can take place in at least two arenas . But I haven't been getting email notifications of people commenting on my posts, and how lame is it that a workaround is to subscribe to the comments on my own site (which doesn't work, by the way. For the next month I will be participating in  +Mike Elgan 's #BlogsofAugust on G+. I wonder what my #menuplanmonday posts are going to look like now....

I couldn't join, but it was fun to watch. Really hoping that this is available after the hangout. UPDATE They edited the video and made it available for public consumption! Disney's The Muppets hits theaters this Thanksgiving! To celebrate, several of the stars took part in a Google+ Hangout on their brand new profile -- mostly because Miss Piggy insists on being in all of the important Circles.

If you are still wanting a invitation to  Google+ , you have come to the right place.   I have plenty . Before you jump on the latest social network bandwagon, make sure it's the right place for you. Yes, I love all things Google, but I wouldn't want you to leave that other network if G+ is not right for you. Use the right tool for the job. Know what I mean? Check out the demo . See if you want to hangout . Make sure that Skype is not in use. I had issues with my first hangout because Skype had control of my mic and speakers, though oddly enough not my webcam. Pants are optional. Sparks Still need work, but I find blog posts and articles that I wouldn't otherwise come across on the topics that I am interested in. Especially Android and recipes.
