if i have to listen to anything resembling punk ....

I'll listen to SuperChick . Rhapsody has a sampler of their stuff across albums, AND I LIKE IT! I don't like Stellar Kart as much as my son and quite a few of the youth in our church do, but then, I never liked Green Day or other punk bands from my era. Speaking of which, my son LOVES Green Day and was shocked to find out that I knew some of the songs he was listening to. I finally broke down and ordered music online. I now own (thanks to SongTouch ) Kirk Franklin's Hero (whole album $9.99 allowed 7 CD burns) sight unseen, er heard, Third Day's Wherever You Are (also $9.99 -- which I probably could have gotten from a friend who own every single one of their albums) and of course, Superchick's Beauty From Pain ($9.90 and not found in the Christian Supply nearest to me, or at Fry's, even though Fry's carries their last album, go figure) which I have been talking about off and on since "We Live" hit the airwaves. So I spent just under $30, but i...

Morning already?

Urgh, I should have listened to my doc and never stopped taking the WB. I am having so much trouble waking up this morning. I feel like I did before I started taking it. Yet another reason why I hate taking meds. My body is so darn sensitive to them. Funny thing happened last night (well, funny if you HAVE to find the humor in a situation) – Tim and I have been talking a lot lately about our relationship and marriage and where we want it to go and things like that. Well, talked about some heavy stuff last night and guess what!!! I started breaking out in hives. It was one of those moments where I wanted to laugh and cry at the same time. Thank God for Benadryl. And last week we did a lot of heavy talking about our relationship too, but I didn’t track it too much. I do know that at least 2 or 3 of our conversations were cut short because I was just itching so much. That first Friday night though wasn’t one of them. I just wanted out of my skin ... or was it …. Did I call home that day...

We Live

"We live we love We forgive and never give up Cuz the days we are given are gifts from above Today we remember to live and to love We live we love We forgive and never give up Cuz the days we are given are gifts from above Today we remember to live and to love" This is the chorus to one of my favorite songs right now (like I want to make it my ringtone). I am currently debating buying it online through SongTouch, or buying the CD at work. You can hear the song at Superchic[k] homepage (track 10). I also want the new Third Day album ( Wherever You Are ). So, here I am experiencing another gift from God and I don't know what to do with it. I sorta feel ungrateful and at the same time ... I don't know. Lots going through my head. There are things I can do to make my living space more comfortable (and I should). And at some point I need to get ready for work. I am tired though. This 4 hours of sleep and then 2 hours of self-flagellation and reflection makes me more tired...

Superchic[k]

Talk about diversity! Well, my current fave song is " We Live " by Superchick. I want to find a way to have it as my Ringtone (finally upgraded to a phone that does that). Before I went to their website, I had no idea who was in the band. I thought it was a couple of girls like BarlowGirl . Shows what I know. Anyways, I'm starting to listen to more alternative Christian punk/rock because I am just not quite ready for Christmas music. I LOVE Christmas carols, but every time I put on the fish (since like the 15th of this month or something, the Monday after Veteran's Day) it's some regular song, like "All I want for Christmas". And frankly, Thanksgiving is my fave holiday. You get to really concentrate on the people and spending time together and not the rampant commercialism of the winter solstice. Can't we celebrate Thanksgiving and THEN get on to the sales? What happened to waiting till the day AFTER Thanksgiving to start the commercialism? Now ...
