How we finally we got to Burbank (Part 1)

Adventures abound in my life ... also known as a comedy of errors. Take for example the following "adventure" (tortuous experience) . We all know my time management skills aren't the best, but for me I was ahead of schedule. Not so much The Hunk. According to him I was about two days behind schedule. I still thought we could pull it off.

Photo Friday: Fluffy

Tweet "Fluffy" did not elicit images of puppies and kittens (though there are plenty of those in the participants ), but clouds and flower petals. Which reminds me, I need to update my flickr clouds set .

Lancaster lightening storm

I just had to try out the video camera on my Vibrant. It caught the lightening pretty amazingly well for no other light source. It started to hail as I filmed, so I took cover on my porch. The tree in my front yard makes a good shadow. I also played at getting some lightening shots with my D-SLR but haven't had time to upload those yet. Do you ever brave the weather to get an amazing shot of nature in action?

Exhausted

… again. I don’t think I’ve gotten more than 4 or 5 good solid hours of sleep in the last 7 days. Some days even less, only one or two due to insomnia, children with nightmares, or hip/back pain. Despite all of my chiropractic therapy, I’m really afraid that I might be developing arthritis in my hips, knees, and hands. It runs in the family. I’ve had CTS before (had to use a brace for 6 weeks!!! thank goodness someone loaned me Dragon Naturally Speaking at the time. An English Lit major not able to type up her papers … oi!), that was no fun. I’ve given in. between @ jasperblu , @ phraktyl , and two co-workers I am going to try acupuncture. My office-mate gave me the name and number of the doctor he goes to, and she went to the trouble of finding out his rates and if he’s open on Saturdays since she knows that I live out in BFE . Boring and dry, ain't it? I’m hoping to get some time this weekend to soak in a nice hot bath. That’s my incentive to clean (don’t ask and I won’t te...

Desert flowers

Desert flowers Originally uploaded by Nannerlady The yellows are actually quite pretty this morning.

Poppy time

Poppy time Originally uploaded by Nannerlady The poppies are blooming again all over the Antelope Valley. I found these beauties on my walk with the dogs today.

Another sunrise

Another sunrise Originally uploaded by Nannerlady I used to love watching the sunrise. It used to be a time of quiet and solitude when I could recharge and reevaluate if need be. Now it just means I made the train on time. Today's sunrise was cool to me because of the way the clouds bisected the sun. I hope it came out in the shot. I'm still seeing sunspots : -)

Sunrise 85/365

Image by Nannerlady via Flickr Doing that best mom ever thing, taking Josh to Disneyland before heading into work on Thursday (3/26) morning. We were both impressed by the sunrise. Even though I complain a lot about the Antelope Valley, I have gotten some of my best shots here. The desert is beautiful.
