Postcards from Malaysia

Back in February I joined a request for postcards in exchange for some link love. Look what arrived! Actually, they arrived almost 3 weeks ago but I haven’t had made the time to get them up and blogged. The postcards are actually in color, but my camera phone can’t do them justice. Lynn has beautiful handwriting: If you have forgotten how to read cursive (I overheard some peers saying they had forgotten how to write it!), she writes: Hi Annette, Congratulations, this is your bonus postcard, courtesy of the Postcard/Link Exchange of 2009! What a change in weather – I always forget just how humid it is here. Forced myself to stay awake all day, it’s now ~9pm – I’ve earned my sleep, methinks! Hope you’re having a great time @ Long Beach! Lynne a.k.a amalaysianabroad.today.com I really need to get back into Postcrossing. It’s so fun to meet people and travel vicariously!

Postcards and Link Love

So, I have been woefully neglectful of my postcrossing , and in an attempt to get back into it I have joined the The Postcard/Link Exchange of 2009! All you have to do to join is: Email [azlynne1972 at gmail dot com] your name & postal address. Email subject line needs to contain “ The Postcard/Link Exchange of 2009 “.  [NOTE: Do NOT leave the information in the comments for the whole WWW to see and abuse! By all means leave me a comment saying you’ve emailed me the info - comment love is always appreciated!] Only requests received by February 20th, 2009 will be entertained. You should receive your postcard by the first week of March. Sometime between March 6th - 16th 2009 (providing an additional buffer in case the card took a circuitous route to you), you then publish a post on your blog relating to the received postcard : criticize my handwriting!; take a picture of it in your mailbox; puzzle over the image on the stamp; whatever, be creative...

muhahahhahaha

I just got a co-worker into Postcrossing . She saw me doing postcards (bad me! logging into gmail at work, but there is a bunch of availablity, though it's not even noon and I have taken 26 calls) and asked what I was doing. So ... the other day I got her set up with a Gmail account since she couldn't remember her other email address, and now she has something to do with it! She got herself set up in Postcrossing, I just told her where to go. Borrowed one of my cards and stamps and I am going to drop them off after work. I need more stamps (hey Peggy! help a sister out? =) ) It's only fair. She's getting me into Country Now ... who else can I turn into a moderate snail mail addict? It's FUN! Even though 5/6 postcards are going to Finland ... even my co-worker's. Update, between us, went sent off 9 postcards today. location: work -- Annette Sargent "Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." ...
