Ok, so I had a real weird problem while I was away from home. hey @onedrive -- I have some tutorial videos in OneDrive that I need to turn into a playlist on my tablet. Nothing I could find related to Microsoft, OneDrive, or any of the other MS apps worked either. This means I had to figure out a solution myself using the tools at hand. Problem Solving Methodology On my Pixel C, VLC wasn't working the way I needed it to, but the other option to view the videos was Plex . Plex???? For playback of videos in OneDrive ? Ok ... Hit Plex, voila! Video lesson played flawlessly. No buffering, no other issues I was experiencing with VLC. But I still really wanted a playlist, ya know. So I remoted into my home computer (because who doesn't, and I couldn't create the playlist in the Plex app, that would have been lucky), via GIP...

Today I had a discussion with a friend who was playing devil's advocate for Chewbacca Mom and can't understand my attitude about the situation. It started here: It's Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton all over again, in concept if not practice at least. Candace Payne has done nothing of value to earn celebrity status , and yet continues to cash in on it. Devil's advocate argument is that it doesn't matter, she's not hurting any one and no one will remember her in year. My point of view is that it does matter, because it's a reflection of today's society. We live in the Internet Age and everything that happens now  gets documented now . There is no revisionist history anymore. Additionally, she's not helping anyone either. What should have been a simple moment of joy shared with friends has turned a woman into an Internet sensation who has garnered so much attention it's unbeleivable, so unbeleivable that within three weeks of being unknown...

Unlike the smart people who made time to do weekly recaps, I thought it would be easy to do a recap at the end of the month. But you know what? Instagram doesn't exactly make it easy , even with the ability to embed. But, thanks to Google-fu, I found a few nifty tools to help me through the consequences of my procrastination. Usually, I enjoy working from home. Today was the exception that proves the rule. Today I was WFH because I finally took Joy to get seen about her  insomnia . I had planned on being imminently productive ( cue laughter ). There were good things and bad things about today's arrangement. Usually I have no issues, but today my internet seemed to freeze at the worst moments. Taking three hours to get a few emails out, not being able to do my analytics report, multiple reboots .... and having workus interruptus from said tween asking for food and being hormonal (it really sucks that she's on my cycle but hasn't started yet. I pray she doesn't have PMDD because if today is any indication, I am going to need a CASE of Bailey's and at least 5lbs of chocolate each month ! Boys are so much easier, even if they do turn into aliens). And once I finally got into a groove it was time to leave for her appointment. Also, insomnia/sleep deprivation + hormonal tween + PM...

HOLY SHITtake mushrooms! I am still in shock after reading this. Never in a million years would I have though that George would sell to Disney, despite all of the collaboration. I wonder what the seventh film will be like? Will it follow George's original vision ? And will they finish out the trilogy so that we have all nine movies (after almost 40 years!) The third trilogy starting with Episode VII was to deal with Luke's life as a Jedi. Episode VIII was to deal with Luke's sister (not Leia) coming from another part of the galaxy and Luke was to become a Jedi Master and pass on his training to her. Episode IX was to feature the appearance of the Emperor and have Luke and his sister confront him on the Imperial Capital Planet of Had Abbadon, possibly bringing about the Return of the Republic and the Jedi Order. The first exhibition of its kind, Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination, combines costumes and props from all six Star Wars films with real-world technologies, video interviews with filmmakers, scientists and engineers, and two large Engineering Design Labs, where visitors can build and test speeders and robots. Visitors will explore prototypes, learn about the engineers and designers who are creating new technologies, and discover intriguing similarities between how scientists and filmmakers think. You can bet I'm taking pictures. And hope we can take a ride in the Millennium Falcon. .. and after adding up the price of admission, we're going to buy an OMSI membership. Which means at least 3 more visits to OMSI in the next year. But they do have OMNIMAX. Tim and I saw one of the Star Wars movies there in their IMAX theater a few years ago.
