There's a new meme going around the social media set and I finally jumped on the bandwagon. How it works We are using data from your Twitter account's tweets (posts) combined with some twitter data from our friends over at infochimps. Our Twitterize yourself tool will generate an infographic in an instant based upon your information. The 'outfits' and 'accessories' are chosen based upon keywords most associated for you. For example, if you tweet a lot about wineries, you will see a wine glass in your hand; Go to the ballpark often? Then your avatar will be dressed in a sports jersey and so on. There are a total of 11 possible outfits that depict your overall Twitter personality and 29 different accessories that could be assigned to show your interests. I mainly posting this for my future reference since I was only able to participate in about 30 minutes of this GNO. There was a lot of good SEO information given through the video and also through tweets (this link due to expire soon since twitter is so real-time). Some people wake up, have coffee and read the paper (or their RSS feeds). Other people, like me, wake up, check their twitter stream, make coffee, check stream again, and so on and so forth until the days work begins. I used to panic when my stream wasn't updating. Now I just go to status.twitter.com ; or Mashable . Now, reading things like Update (11:28p): Twitter’s DNS records were temporarily compromised but have now been fixed. We are looking into the underlying cause will update with more information soon only send me into mild annoyance. I'll get my fix sooner or later. So earlier this morning I threw out a question and got a ton of responses. But first, some background: It's been almost a year since I publicly posted that I was ready to lose weight. And in that time I have managed to ... add " Eat to Live " to my wish list. I've also bought about 10 different books from Amazon but not that one (Lazy 1: Me 0) I've also gained 5-10 lbs depending on the time of the month (ladies, can I get an "Amen"?). I know a HUGE contributing factor is that I am a desk jockey. When I ran a daycare we got out everyday, even during the rainy season (ok, maybe not, but I know I didn't keep 8 kids cooped up inside my house and I remember washing a lot of towels...) ... I digress, I started gaining weight like mad when I closed my daycare and started working a desk job again. I have a 90-120 minute commute everyday, I work 8-10 hours per day (yay for OT at the moment) and I like my sleep. I don't get enough as it is. My mother ...

As soon as I tried it and realized that I had NOT been taken to OAuth , I changed my password. This worked fine for a few hours. Then around 1:06 PM (3 hours later!!!!) I get an email from twitter stating: Hey there . Due to concern that your account may have been compromised in a phishing attack that took place off-Twitter, your password was reset. Please create a new password. Please click on the link below our copy and paste the URL into your browser: http://twitter.com/account/password_reset?[ redacted] This will reset your password. The Twitter Team This was about the same time an app that I was using stopped working and wanted me to log in again. Ready for some good, clean, fun? Recently, quite by accident, Scott McGrew and I have developed quite the meme on twitter. It all started on April 26th . Well, maybe a day or so earlier, but that is the first time I used #talkgeektome (yup, I take full responsibility, ok, partial. He replied and kept it going, and going and going…). A total stranger knows things about you like: you’re a night owl you only watch Castle you have two kids, their names, hobbies, and ages you are a photography nut you tweet a lot Now mind you, this person mostly just follows me during the day, or I thought she did. We found it quite funny that she could tell her friends things about me and yet tonight was the first time we had met in person. Just more proof that I need an intervention. Nature. The colors, the smells, the peacefulness of it all when you can get away from the craziness of our busy lives.
