Throwback Thursday: Disneyland 2003

On the Mark Twain, back when my son was shorter than me and I was skinny.

Menu Plan Monday: Cooking for Two

I know I've been out of it for a while, but I'm back! I even planned a menu three weeks ago, but the last two weeks I've been going by the seat of my pants. That's not good for the budget you know. Especially when the budget says "tighten your belt!" Long story short, my latest contract ended on July 27th. Last week I enjoyed the week off, took my daughter to Disneyland (making that annual pass pay for itself), had an awesome interview with a company that I would love to work for, and paid bills. First time on both Goofy's Sky School and Toy Story Mania! and my daughter's first time on Star Tours since it reopened. That's about when I realized that I need to get to living a frugal life. Which I haven't exactly done since college. I've lived fairly fiscally responsibly, paying down debt, etc., but now it's time to really crack down. Those UI checks don't cover nearly enough, you know what I mean? But you're not here...

Tell Me Thursday - Disneyland

Disneyland is better with friends . Joy, Hank, and I (it's not cool for Josh to go to Disneyland with his mom anymore) joined a group of people with annual passes who go at least once a month (that is kinda the point of having an annual pass) and got to experience Disneyland in a whole new way. The best part, going on rides and exploring parts of Disneyland I never noticed nor experienced before -- like Sleeping Beauty's Castle Walkthrough and Davy Crockett's Canoes (not safe for the iPhone 4 by the way). Wordless Wednesday: I need some inspiration

Sunrise 85/365

Image by Nannerlady via Flickr Doing that best mom ever thing, taking Josh to Disneyland before heading into work on Thursday (3/26) morning. We were both impressed by the sunrise. Even though I complain a lot about the Antelope Valley, I have gotten some of my best shots here. The desert is beautiful.
