Throwback Thursday: Another Moving Day

Read more about my  Grand Junction roadtrip  and see the full slideshow (just realized most of the photos were taken with my T-Mobile Dash!) I can't believe it's been seven years since I decided I wanted to camp in Zion. We passed right by it on this trip and I realized Utah was only a day away. Pin It

fall in Grand Junction, CO

'Nette reminds me a lot of fall in Oregon right now. Though oddly enough the air smells and feels different. Must be the 6000 ft. elevation. I'm ready to hit the road since I didn't plan on more than dropping my brother and his stuff off.

and then there were the pygmies

'Nette and no, i didn't catch their names

my new friend

'Nette this one liked me, the other one didn't (BTW, this is Hobie, a mini shar-pei)

'Nette for some reason this is my favorite road sign. i bet a smile starts when you try to say it out loud. ;)

desert rain

There is nothing in the world like the clean smell of the world after it rains in the desert. the temp is barely 60 in the sun, the elevation between 3000-4000 feet, and the sky a particular shade of blue that I have only seen in the desert .... my soul is being refreshed. i love this smell . 30 minutes to Barstow.

Another Roadtrip?

View Larger Map So my brother has asked to use my van to move from Vegas to Grand Junction, CO , which may just have a population smaller than that of Salem, OR (I've had my fill of small towns in the middle of nowhere, thank-you-very-much), but according to his MySpace blog, he needs this move. Problem, ... well, let's just say that big sis is a sap and a Good Samaritan at heart ... usually. He asked to use my van carte blanche, but I don't think I want to do that. Hence, the road trip. Ah well, the last one did me good. At least it wasn't as bad as I thought it might be. Time to get another load of laundry started and then I am walking Zoe to Joy's school and back.
